The Land of the Orang Utans

Hey all!.. Just came back from Kuching, Sarawak a.k.a "Davin's place" two days ago. U see the title? Yea, there were orang utans, just that we missed them by 15 minutes. Man!! But all in all it was worth the trip. All thanks to Davin and his family'es hospitality, we almost had a free stay.. Almost.. rite Davin? ;) Yea, each of us kinda secretly left 100 bux just to cover at least SUMthing. We had too. least we could do.. haha..


Well, started off by visiting Damai Beach.






This is where ALL the tourists go.. supposedly..dont ask me why, I was told that.



But the waves..i mean, the waves.. were BIG. We rented a couple of bodyboards to show our machoness, but u know.. the waves kinda got to us.. so much for machoness..


Later, we sort of bummed out at Davin's place and visited the city a couple of times. ONe of the best things bout kuching has to be the food.. I mean the wooden cats and three fly-overs (sorry Davin!) were great, but the food was finger lickin' good (they hv lots of KFC's dere).. The Koh Loh Mee, Kiau (wantan), Kueh Chap (sometin like bak kut teh), and Sio Bee was really nice.. particularly loved the Kueh Chap.. MMMmmm..Dont haf a pic of that tho..

Well, after food like that, its hard not to gain a few pounds.. All that swimming at the beach? well, seems like it didn't work. hmm..maybe my scale is lying?.. yea, i think so..

I had a lot of fun with my college mates - the Kuching Gang! Will remember u guys always! =) !Six of us made the trip:
